Gathering of Christian Converts in Support of Qezel Hesar Prison Inmates
In a testament that has been circulated on social media, inmates of Qezel Hesar Prison have called on the people of Iran to stand with them and not remain silent in the face of executions. In part of their message, they wrote:
“Dear people of my country, friends, and acquaintances, as we write this testament, we are alive, yet waiting for death. Today, we breathe and our souls remain within us, but we need you today—not on the day you come to our graves to offer prayers for the departed.”
The prisoners continued:
“If there is to be any gathering for us, let it be your presence on the announced date in front of the Parliament. We do not want you to attend our funerals; while we are still alive, come to our aid.”
At the same time that this letter was published, Iranian Christian converts organized a protest gathering outside the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Lidingö district of Stockholm, Sweden.
The demonstration, held on October 21, 2025 (Mehr 30, 1404), was organized in support of prisoners on death row at Qezel Hesar Prison. Participants called for an end to executions and the release of political prisoners.
