Third Anniversary of the Death of Dr. Aida Rostami, Esteemed Physician and Activist
On the third anniversary of the killing of Dr. Aida Rostami, an Iranian physician, a memorial gathering was held in central Stockholm.
The ceremony took place on December 12, 2025, and was attended by a number of Christian converts, Iranian patriots, and human rights activists. Participants lit candles and laid flowers in memory of Dr. Rostami, who, according to attendees, remained committed to her medical oath until the end and provided treatment to the wounded during the Mahsa movement (the 2022 uprising) in Ekbatan.
Dr. Aida Rostami went missing on December 12, 2022, after reportedly being identified by Iranian security forces. Her lifeless body was returned to her family a day later, with authorities attributing her death to a traffic accident. However, visible signs of torture on her body and face led to widespread allegations of violent mistreatment by the authorities.
Participants observed a moment of silence in her honor and bowed in respect. Organizers emphasized that Dr. Rostami’s name and legacy would remain a lasting symbol of courage and integrity in Iran’s history.
May her memory be honored and her soul rest in peace.
